Ninety Six, SC  (December 3, 2023) – A great weekend was had by all in this year’s Rick Vieth Junior Four Ball hosted at The Fort Club.

In the Girls 13-18 division, the team of  Ella Kate Barnett  (Galivants Ferry, SC) &  Peyton O’Brien  (Salem, SC) were off to the races day one, posting a dominant Round 1 score of seven under-par (64). The pair began day two, five shots clear of their nearest competitors and didn’t look back. Barnett and O’Brien would go on to post a Round 2 score of one under-par (70) and tournament total of eight under-par to claim a four-shot victory over  Barrett Owens  (Easley, SC) &  Karsyn Herron  (Graniteville, SC).

In the Boys 13-18 Division, the team of  Andrew Baxley  (Beech Island, SC) &  Luke Johnson  (North Augusta, SC) took command in Round 1, opening with an impressive eight under-par (63). With Anderson, SC natives  Cal Harbin  &  Jackson Scaletta  only two-shots back beginning day two, Baxley & Johnson needed to keep their foot on the gas to secure a victory. By days end Sunday, our overnight leaders would remain atop the leaderboard firing another dominant round of six under-par (65) and tournament total of fourteen under-par to claim victory.

The SCJGA would like to extend a special thanks to The Fort Club for their hosting of the Rick Vieth Junior Four Ball! In addition, a very special thank you to the Vieth family and First Tee Upstate Chapter for their continued partnership and support of the event.
