Job Description
Job Title: Summer Internship
Reports To: Senior Director of SCJGA
Duration: June 10 – August 25, 2019
Summary: Assists in the implementation of programs and events conducted by the South Carolina Junior Golf Association (SCJGA) and South Carolina Golf Association (SCGA) by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assist with player and tournament registration onsite and during office working hours.
- Assist with course set up at all SCJGA and designated SCGA Events.
- Assist with pre-tournament planning, printing and packing for all SCJGA Events.
- Assist with tournament operations at all SCJGA Events.
- Proof articles and press releases when needed.
- Assist with the database entry of tournament results for Heritage Classic Junior Ranking Program.
- Assist with Hootie and the Blowfish Summer Series Columbia Chapter when needed and assigned. when needed.
- Assists all statewide Directors and Chapters of the Hootie and Blowfish Junior Golf Summer Series when needed.
- Assists Senior Director of SCJGA as needed with all other SCJGA programs and promotions.
- Assist with all SCJGA conducted Drive, Chip and Putt Qualifiers.
Expectations:
Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
Recreational knowledge of the game of golf at a minimum.
When not traveling, this position will report to the SCGA Office in Columbia, SC
Monday – Friday, 8:30AM – 5:00PM
Weekends and overnight travel are a mandatory component summer internship position.
(approximately 9 weekend days and 14 overnight stays)
