COLUMBIA, SC (May 31, 2022) – The South Carolina Junior Golf Association (SCJGA) announces the hiring of Garrett Glaze as tournament coordinator. Glaze, a Charleston, South Carolina native, will work closely with SCJGA Tournament Coordinator, Mark Elam, SCJGA Director of Youth Development, Michael McKee and SCJGA Senior Director, Justin Fleming, to coordinate and assist all SCJGA tournaments and events.

A 2018 graduate of Presbyterian College, Glaze earned a Bachelor of Science in Management degree, and also participated on the men’s soccer team throughout his four years of college. Glaze brings a new set of knowledge and skills to the Junior Golf Association, previously working as a Sales Agent for The Sandlapper Group in Charleston, SC. Glaze also gained experience working as a District Sales Manager for AmerCareRoyal, which aided his knowledge in strategic planning, teamwork, and organized coordination of new and lasting relationships.

“We are very excited to have Garrett join the SCJGA team,” Justin Fleming, SCJGA Senior Director, said. “He brings excitement and energy that is much appreciated in our organization. He is a wonderful addition to our growing staff, and we are looking forward to seeing the new knowledge and ideas he will bring.”

“My ultimate goal and what I am most excited about in this new position is to hopefully make a great impact on these kids’ lives by giving them the opportunity to succeed and grow in their golf journeys,” Glaze said. “This association has provided me with lifelong memories as a kid and as an adult that I will never forget, and that is what we will strive to provide each of the players that play in our tournaments. I am very grateful to be a part of an already great SCJGA and SCGA team filled with wonderful people, and I am looking forward to working with them in the future.”

Glaze began his position with the SCJGA May 15, 2022.
