Morgan Lucas Champions: Sydney Roberts and Andrew Gregory

GREENVILLE, SC (Feb 20, 2022) – Final round results of the Morgan Lucas Championship presented by Marchant Real Estate hosted by Greenville Country Club – Chanticleer, on Sunday, Feb 20, 2022.

Sydney Roberts of Chesnee posted a final round score of even-par 72 to claim victory in the girls division. She had seven total birdies and a front nine score of 32 today. She finished the tournament at five-over par 149 overall.

“It was kind of up and down today,” Roberts said. “I shot 40 on my front side, then made five birdies on my back side and shot 32 so that kind of made up for it. It feels good to be the champion. I like this course, it’s always fun to play and it’s definitely proven to be one of my favorites.”

Abby Franks of Roebuck finished second in the girls division, carding five-over par 77 for the day and nine-over par 153 overall for the tournament.

In the boys division, Andrew Gregory of Inman took home the title finishing with a final round score of one-under par 71. Gregory claimed victory by two-shots, posting one-over par 145 overall.

“My round was pretty good today,” said Gregory. “I was hitting a lot of fairways which was clutch, my putting was okay and had an awesome caddie. I’m feeling good and excited about this win, and this is definitely a confidence booster.”

Miles Eubanks of Warrenville and Coleman Ferguson of Columbia tied for second in the boys division, each finishing the tournament at three-over par 147 overall.
