With the Beth Daniel Jr Azalea wrapped up, that concludes our “summer” swing. Reona Hirai was extremely impressive this summer winning all of our events she could. She took the titles in the Jimmy Self, The Blade and wrapped it up with the Beth Daniel. This is the first time a single player has swept our three majors that she could compete in over that period of time. She took everyone to school before going back to school.
*Reona caddied for friend Kelli Murphy at the Picard Junior which Kelly went on to win. Kelly returned the favor after missing the match play of the USGA Womens Amateur and came out to caddie for Reona. Here is a photo of the first time the two ever played golf together many moons ago at Fort Jackson.
