St. Patrick’s Day means a lot of festivities going on around the country. However there are 32 golfers who call this weekend not St. Patty’s, but Can-Am. The top eight boys and girls from the SCJGA rankings and Golf Association of Ontario tee it up in a Ryder Cup type event. It was my first time ever going to the event, and I must say it is truly a special event. For some of the kids, this is their last event with us as junior golfers and you can tell how much it means for them to make the team. It seems to be more bittersweet for that parents as well, knowing that all these years of traveling and long days are coming to an end. Sounds funny that they will miss the “grind”, but they do, and some will go on to further their golfing careers either as an amateur or professional.
