2010 Tommy Cuthbert South All Stars

The final round of the SCJGA?s Tommy Cuthbert South All Stars Championship was once again a soggy one for participants and spectators alike! However the determination of these young people to push through and succeed is exactly what the Hootie and the Blowfish Junior Golf Series is all about. John Michael Schaffer of Sumter held on to his first day lead and claimed the Boys 15-18 year olds with an overall total of six over par 150. In the Boys 13-14 Division, again Sumter native Charlie Dallery, held onto his lead and finished three strokes over his nearest competitor after a two day total of 154. First day leader in the Boys 10-12 Division, Jake Carter of Aiken, bettered his one under 35 with a two under par 34 on day two and win that division. In the Boys 8-9 age bracket, Dixon Flowers, another Sumter player kept his good fortunes and shot two under 34 for a two day total of 70 and take the young boys bracket by a wide 11 stroke margin.

On the girls side of things Taylor Ann Dodson from Aiken held her lead and even improved six shots, firing a 75 and taking her second title in a row! Kate Harper from Isle of Palms held on to her lead and finished 10 shots better than her nearest competitor in the Girls 11-13 Division with a total of 94. The other nine hole age group is the Girls 8-10 as Emily Benton held onto her lead and finished at 110 to win by three strokes.
