GREER, SC (July 16, 2024) –  First round results of the 26th Annual Blade Junior Classic hosted by Thornblade Club in Greer, SC, on Tuesday, July 16, 2024.

This morning, Thornblade Club welcomed 129 male and female junior golfers for the first round of the 26th Annual Blade Junior Classic.

In the boys 10-12 division, Cullen Beck of Greenville secured the 10-12 title after posting an impressive score of seven-under par 65, carding four eagles to claim the trophy in this division. "Today was a very aggressive day. I had lots of good tee shots and putts, while dropping some birdies and four eagles. I would like to thank the Blade for this tournament," Beck said.

Wilson Brasington of Greenville finished the day with a score of one-under par 71 to be named runner-up in the boys 10-12 division. 

In the girls 10-12 division, Brady Wolfe of Blythewood was crowned champion with a final score of seven-over par 79. "I did well today. My putting was very good. My irons could use a little work, but I know that now after playing this tournament I can get better at that, thanks to The Blade. The harder you work the luckier you get," said Wolfe.

Eloise Fetzer of Charleston was named runner-up in the girls 10-12 division posting a score of 11-over par 83.

In the boys 13-18 division, four players share the round one lead, Cade Jordan (Conway), OT Mitchell (Fort Mill), Cade Kriscunas (Hilton Head), and Matthew Morgan (Greer) finished day one with an impressive first round score of one-under par 70. Four sit tied at even, just one-shot behind the leaders.

Caroline Hawkins of Columbia and Lexi Milbrandt of Hilton Head both finished the day with a score of four-over par 76 to tie for the lead in the girls 13-18 division.

The second round of the 26th Annual Blade Junior Classic begins tomorrow at 8:00 A.M. off #1.

In 1999, The Blade Junior Golf Classic was founded by a group of Thornblade Club members with a passion for creating the best junior golf tournament experience for junior golfers and their families.
