
Beaufort, SC (February 17, 2025) – Eighty-eight juniors were greeted by windy conditions as they teed off at the SCJGA’s One-Day series event at Cat Island Club. The weather and course layout created significant obstacles, but the juniors showcased their skill and perseverance.
In the Boys 12 & Under Division, Mac McGirt of Bluffton delivered an impressive performance, shooting one-under par (35) in nine holes to claim the trophy. Bryce LaBruyere of Columbia finished in second place, carding a three-over-par 39.
In the Girls 12 & Under Division, Eloise Fetzer of Charleston delivered a determined performance to secure the victory with a round of four-over par 40. Zadie Meldrum of Aiken finished in second place with a round of seven-over par 43.
In the Girls 13-18 Division, Caitlyn Gaines of Lexington won the championship with a remarkable performance, finishing at three-over-par 74. Her round included two birdies and five bogeys. Ana Kathryn Cullens of Mount Pleasant secured second place with a strong four-over-par 75.
In the Boys 13-18 Division, Brady Senn of Lexington battled high winds and showcased his skill, carding five birdies on his way to a one-over-par 72 to claim the championship. Evan Cheek of Greer secured second place with a solid three-over-par 74, finishing just two shots behind the lead.
