Cheraw, SC – After a chilly and breezy start, warm temperatures and sunshine prevailed for the final round of the 25th Annual Cheraw Fall Challenge.
First Round leader Gene Zeigler (Florence) picked up right were he left off with birdies on 2 of his first 4 holes en route to a one under par 35 on his front nine. Zach Adams (Charleston) matched Zeigler’s front nine score of 35 to stay within two shots heading into the back nine.
Zeigler constructed a very steady back nine yielding one bogey, seven pars and a birdie on the 18th to give him the title and a four shot victory. Jerry Bruns (Beaufort) rallied on his final round with a one under par 71 giving him a share of second place with Simon Wright (Lancaster) at 144 even par for the two day event.
