Easley, SC (November 12, 2023) – Cold and rainy conditions presented quite the challenge for 83 junior golfers at Southern Oaks. In the Girls 13-18 division, Addison Parker (Gaffney, SC) posted a final round score of four over-par (76) en route to her SCJGA Players Series victory at Southern Oaks. The 2025 graduate made two birdies to go along with six bogeys to post a tournament total score of thirteen-over par (157). Parker went on to record a three-stroke victory over runner-up Ella Kate Barnett (Galivants Ferry, SC).
In the Boys 13-18 Division, Spartanburg’s Casey Kosney began the day two strokes back of the leader, Dylan Park (Easley, SC). Kosney then overcame the deficit with a superb final round of three-under-par (69) and weekend total of five-under-par to claim victory at Southern Oaks. Proceeding a scorecard playoff, placing runner-up was Anderson’s Erik Erlenkeuser with a final round of two-over-par (74) and even-par-total or the tournament (144).
