The SCJGA offers a wide variety of programs to help junior golfers at every phase of their development as a player, from beginner to Major Champion!
The statements and explanations below should show you which programs that will best fit your junior golfer.
“I want to play golf recreationally.”
The best programs that the SCJGA has to offer for a newcomer to the game are the SCJGA Member Card. This card gives members access to numerous courses around the state at discounted rates.
“I have hit some balls and played golf for fun with family or friends, but I want to play competitively.”
A novice player who is new to competition will fit best in the Hootie & The Blowfish Chapter Series.
“I have played competitive golf and had some success on the local level. Now I want to see where my game stands on a statewide level.”
The Players Series is the best spot for junior golfers to compete on a statewide level in pursuit of exemptions into the SCJGA’s Major Championships. The Hootie & The Blowfish Chapter Series can also be very valuable to the intermediate player.
